Michelle formerly worked as a Health Educator at a health plan in Central Wisconsin and currently is an account manager in the pharmaceutical industry. She began volunteering at MDI one year ago out of a desire to serve others and because of a passion for MDI’s mission to meet a significant public health need. The time she spends at the clinic allows her to return to her public health roots as she has a Master’s in Public Health and is a Certified Health Education Specialist (MPH-CHES). “Years ago I completed my graduate thesis on the topic of ‘Community Water Supply Fluoridation’ so you might say I’ve always had a special interest in dental health and I am in awe of the great work that MDI does every day!”
She feels privileged to get to know many wonderful staff members and volunteers at MDI and was recently asked to Chair the Education Committee. The education committee continues to work on initiatives to serve patients of MDI and the larger community. And, like others who work or volunteer at MDI, she feels she gets back more than she gives, “The patients are so grateful to have access to care and are it’s a pleasure to support and get to know them.”
Michelle resides in Lodi with her husband Mitch and enjoys reading, boating, fitness activities, and enjoys sports – especially supporting the Lodi Blue Devils and Wisconsin Badgers.
